There are so many things to choose from: (a) Location - this is super close to Hakone - Yumoto station. So, hauling all our luggage wasnt much of a problem. (b) Restaurants - we are vegetarians. For lunch, we were able to order scrumptious sandwiches. The service was excellent! For dinner, we had ordered the 12 course Japanese traditional meal. I wasn't sure about what to expect "veg" Japanese meals. However, the chefs outdid themselves. We (including the kids) enjoyed almost everything on the menu. The presentation and taste were excellent. Highly recommend the experience. (c) Traditional Japanese Room - we has reserved the traditional Japanese room. Our beds were made when we were out for dinner. THe beds were super comfortable and we had a great night sleep. (d) Onsen - we reserved a private onsen and enjoyed the experience. The only downside side was that it wasnt water from an actual hot spring. (e) Spa - While I didn't have a chance to use it, the pricing and timing looked very reasonable. Will definitely try it next time.

The rooms were very traditional, spacious, clean and well decorated! We had traditional Japanese slippers and full kimonos in our room which was fun to wear around the hotel. The location was fantastic - right opposite the main station. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The onsens were brilliant and relaxing, we loved them. There were both indoor and outdoor baths, and we could also book a private one which was a great experience. There are a few restaurants and shops in the hotel, as well as services like massages. Overall we had an incredible stay and really enjoyed our time here! Arigato!

Breakfast was good with a nice selection. Location was perfect across the Hakone-Yumoto station bridge. It had its private elevator for guests. The onsen is beautiful! Apparently you can also reserve a private onsen at the Front Desk. (We didn’t opt for that, we used the public one). When it was raining, the staff was passing out hand towels to the guests to pat themselves dry. How thoughtful! There’s a firefly park right near the hotel elevator and they offer flashlights for you to rent to go and see them. (June is firefly season). Highly recommend. My 9 year old daughter wants to go back already!

The staff were absolutely lovely, very attentive, - nothing was a problem! It was our first time to use an onsen and it was a very pleasant experience! Great choice of food restaurant wise ( French/ Chinese/ japanese, a Japanese bar and western cafe for during the day) and location was perfect - 3 minutes max from train station. We were upgraded to larger room which was like a small apartment- very well kept with his and her sinks and private bath. We would have liked to stay longer!

We were here for two nights and really enjoyed our stay, we would have liked an extra day. The hotel is in a great location right next to the train station, so is really handy for bus & train transport links. The onsite onsen was really good and we had a large room with a riverside view, which was nice after coming from a hotel with a much smaller room in Kyoto. Would definitely stay here again.
